PSP firmware update v3.50

A frimware update for Sony’s PSP is now available. When you update, you get version 3.50.

  • Support has been added to allow remote play over Internet in [Remote Play]
  • [RSS Channel Guide] has been added as a feature under [RSS Channel]

It wouldn’t hurt if Sony had made a few more updates or waited to they had more features to add. At least they update the firmware quite often, so it’s not that bad.

Xbox 360: DiRT demo

On Thursday you could download the Colin McRae: DiRT demo from Xbox Live (it’ also available for PC). The demo have three different trakcs: Crossover, Hill Climb and CORR (Championship Off-Road Racing).

I’ve played the demo some, and sort of like it. The game is a simulator like PGR3, but I’m more into arcade style (like Burnout and Ridge Racer). This is not a game I will pick up on realese since I’m not that into simlator type of games, but will probably pick it up when the price goes down. Those who like simulator style, will probably like this game.

The visuals in this games are great. The picture in this post is only standard definition and a bit blury because my TV-card doesn’t like 60 Hz that much.

Colin McRae: DiRT is out in Europe 15th June and 19th June in US.

You can get the European PAL version from Amazon.co.uk and the US NTSC version from Amazon.com or Play-Asia.com.

Xbox 360: Trusty Bell/Eternal Sonata Demo

Last week the Trusty Bell/Eternal Sonata (トラスティベル ~ショパンの夢~) demo was released in Japan. I downloaded it with my Japanese Xbox Live account. The demo visuals are great, it looks real good. I’m not into RPG, but i liked the demo.

This is what MajorNelson wrote on his blog:
待望の体験版がマーケットプレースについに登場!今回の舞台はテヌートの獣道、テヌート村、そして鏡天花の森。簡単操作で爽快感の味わえるバトルも存分に体験できます。アレグレット、ポルカ、ビートの3人と一緒に、トラスティベルの幻想的かつ壮大な世界を少しだけお楽しみ下さい。

That translate into (with the help of Google):
Long-awaited trial version finally in the market place appearance! As for the latest stage piste of tenuto, forest of tenuto village, and mirror heaven flower. You can experience also the battle which the refreshing impression can be tasted with simplicity operation freely. 3 people of [areguretsuto], polka and beat and together, just please enjoy the fantasy of [torasuteiberu] and the magnificent world a little.

You can see more on Xbox.com or Namco.

The game is Japanese only, out in June and can be pre-ordered from Play-Asia.com and YesAsia.com.

Here’ some picture I grabbed while playing. It’s a bit blury, but that’s because of my TV-card doesn’t handle 60Hz video well.

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Here’s the new official coverart for The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass DS game set for a June release in Japan. The cover will probably change by the time the game arrives Europe.

TheHylia.com have a translation of a Famitzu scan:
STORY

Just a couple of months after Link and Tetra’s pirates set sail to find a new land, Tetra discovers a suspicious ghost ship and boards it all alone. Then she finds herself in trouble and she can’t leave the ship. Link tries to rescue Tetra, but he falls to the sea and faints. When he wakes up, he finds himself in an unknown island (Shiwan saved him). While looking for clues to find the ghost ship, Link unexpectedly meets Lineback, who’s after the treasure of the ghost ship. Since both are looking for the ghost ship, they decide to join forces.

There’s also a prophecy that worries a certain fortune-teller: “An evil darkness… A huge ocean… And the voice of a sacred light.”

The Japanese version can be pre-order from Play-Asia.com and YesAsia.com.
