E3: Nintendo press conference

Highlights from Nintendo’s press conference at E3. I’m writing this as I watch i IGN.com, so I hope I get to wright was is important. I have also made snapshotsfrom the video-feed and posted the pictures on my blog.

• Introduction with Cammie Dunaway.
• Shaun White Snowboard demoed by Shaun White. Use the Wii Fit balanceboard. Comes in the end of 2008.
• President of Nintendo, Satura Iwata enters the stage.
• Brain Age, Nintendogs, Mario Kart DS, New Super Mario Bros. still sells well after years. “They are evergreens”.
• Videogamers was a small group of the public, but have expanded to from small childer to old people. From gamers to non-gamers.
• The Wii version of Guitar Hero III is out-selling all other console versions.
• “It is dangerous to stand still.”

• Karsuya Eguchi (creator of Animal Crossing) video play. With gameplay video of Animal Crossing for Nintendo Wii. WiiSpeak is a new device which you can use to talk to other Animal Crossing players around the World. Animal Crossing will come by the end of 2008.
• Reggie Fils-Aime enters the stage.
• 10 mill. Wii system and 20 mill. DS sold in US.
• DS sales in US, 12% ahead of last years sale.
• All Pokemon titles have sold 180 million copies in total.
• 19 third paty Wii titles have sold more than 400 000+ copies in US.
• Wii trailers: Star Wars – The Clone Wars, Raving Rabbits – TV Party and Call of Duty – World of War.
• Guitar Hero On Tour sold 300 000 the first week.
• DS trailers: Guitar Hero On Tour, Spore Creature
• Pokemon Rengers Shadows
• Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown is coming to DS this Winter.
• Showing the Wii MotionPlus. Better controll of the Wii controller
• Wii Sports Resorts demoed. The game will come with the Wii MotionPlus atatcment. Coming Spring 2009.
• Wii Music is demoed by Shigeru Miyamoto . You can play over 50 different intruments. The game will record video of our performance.
