E3: Sony’s press conference

I’m writting this while I saw the livestream from IGN.com. So I hope I write down everything important, and spelling mistakes will probably happen.

• Start with different game trailers.
• Jack Trent enters the stage, and makes a small introducion.
• It’s 15 years since Sony decided to make their own CD-based console. PS One introduced the CD to the massmarked like PS2 did with DVD.
• Trent talkes about the Playstation history. PS3 introduced a new 10 year cicle of cosole life. Blu-ray won the HD format war.
• “Playstation in 2008 is all about software.”
• Exclusive games make people which console to buy.
• Resistance 2 trailer.
• User generated content: LittleBigPlanet.
• They use LittleBigPlanet to show off statistics about Playstation sales and so on.
• PS2: 130 new titles in 2008. Some of them: NCAA, Tiger Woods, Star Wars Forcew, Wing Star Pop vol. 2, Madden XX.
• Buzz is coming to PSP.
• Sing Star have sold more than 15 million copies world wide.
• PSN: “This is a generation whose digital identity is as important to them as their driving licence.” Single sign-in on PS3, PC and PSP.
• 180 million download since November 2006.
• Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest For Booty trailer and interview shown. On PS3 for $14.99 this Sumer.
• Trailers: Crash Commando, Fat Princess, Flower, Siren Blood Curse.
• Show Grand Turismo TV. Car programs from all over the World. Availble from August 1.
• Playstation Home. “Binding factor for the Playstation Network.” They show some new video of Home.
• Video in Playstation Store. Supported companies: Sony Pictures, Fox, MGM, Warner, Disney, Lionsgate and Paramount. Movies and TV shows in SD and HD. This content is portable, can be played back on PSP. New Video-tab i PS Store. You can start watching 1 minutes after purchase. Available from tonight!
• Last year PSP Slim was introduced, sales shoot thorugh the roof.
• New Entertainment pack in October: Rachet Clank Size Matters, 1 GB memory card, voucher for Echochrome on Playstation Store.
• Resistance Retribution (PSP) trailer.
• 45 million PSPs Worldwide.
