Free 3D software

There is one free 3D program you may consider. It’s DAZStudio.

Here’s the introduction on their website:
DAZStudio is a free software application that allows you to easily create beautiful digital art. You can use this software to load in people, animals, vehicles, buildings, props, and accessories to create digital scenes. DAZStudio includes two pre-configured scenes ready for you to Load & Render within DAZStudio. Just double-click on the scene thumbnails inside of DAZStudio, and everything will come on screen posed, lit, and ready for you to create a stunning digital image. Click here to view a sample scene render from DAZStudio using the included content.

To get you started, they have a lot of free stuff and add new items every week. Go to the front page, selecet 3D models – Free products. You load the objects into the program and place them in your scene. Simple as that. Work with the camera angle, and you can greate great pictures.

Daz released a very realistic female character, Victoria 4. This character cost money, but is real good.

I can also mention that they have a 3D package (wich cost money) called Carrera 5 and a landscape generator called Bryce 6. They are both worth a look.
