Europe got three new Virtual Console titles on Friday May 30th 2008 to download on Nintendo Wii.

Burning Fight
NeoGeo – 1991 – D4 Enterprise – Beat’em up – 1-2 players -900 points – age 12+

released in 1991 by SNK, Burning Fight is a side-scrolling hand-to-hand combat action game. Duke, Ryu and Billy are three detectives in pursuit of Casterora, ahuge crime syndicate that has fled from New York to Osaka.

Each playable character fights using a combination of punches, kicks and jumps. Players also have a range of lethal techniques at their disposal, which are activated by simultaneously pressing the jump and attack button. You’ll need to think carefully before unleashing a leathal technique beacause, although they have enormous estructive force, they also consume a grat deal of energy. You’ll need to use all your wisdom and skill to time the use of these tchniques as well!

Buring Fight has a multiplayer feature, but be careful – attacks can damage not only your enemies but your allies too! So keep an eye on here your partner is in the heat of the battle!

Samurai Shodown
NeoGeo – 1993 – D4 Enterprise – fighting – 1-2 players – 900 points – age 12+

Set in samurai-era Japan, this fast-paced and utra-violent fighting game became one of the most talked-about games of its time upon its original release in 1993. twelve weapon-wielding fighters from around the world, each with their own unique characteristics, battle furiously with the aim of confronting the evil Amakusa Shiro Tokisada.

Perhaps the most original feature of the game is the anger gauge that builds up as you take hits. Once the gauge is full, your attack power increases greatly, allowing you to wreak revenge on your opponent!
